I recently replaced the dry side to my mp10. The process was simple and painless. It works great now. The problem is that the replacement dryside has a "soft touch" material coating it, much like VW cars of the early 2000s. It didnt last on those cars and it is even worse on my dry side. It is sticky and slimey. It is melting off the part. Does anyone else have this same issue. The original did not have this coating so there was no issue. It looks bad. Its shinny and things are now stuck in it, like dust and salt. Its only been on the tank for 2 months.

no the coating on the outside of the dryside motor. It seems to be the same coating used on VW/Audi from early 2000s on the interior. ie.. the temp controls, door pull handles, most everything you need to touch. It feels smooth and nice but melts and rubs off. It has turned the dryside into a lint roller.

me neither. This replacement dryside has a different coating than any of the other 3 ecotech pumps I have.

I guess I'll call ecotech about it. It is only a couple months old. I wish I could post a pic to show the issue it would make much more sense than my description.
